Year 6

This week we have discussed the theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week ‘Let’s Connect’ in our assemblies led by staff and children. A huge well done and congratulations to our year 5/6 Basketball Team who competed in the Gateshead finals this afternoon! 🥈They came an outstanding second place and proudly took their silver medals.

Year 6 spent a lovely afternoon singing Christmas carols to the residents of Chase Park Care Home. Plenty of smiles all around! Well done Year 6 for bringing some festive cheer!  

Front Street are now in full Christmas swing! We have all enjoyed our Christmas music workshop this morning, provided by Gateshead Music Service. We have listened to Christmas songs, played musical instruments and sang songs! Article 29

Year 5/6 Stem Club concluded this week with an explosive lesson! The children investigated chemical reactions between various liquids and bicarbonate of soda. In other weeks, we have explored ways to help marbles defy gravity, how to create a working circuit, how shadows are formed and how dams work
