All pupils at Front Street Primary School have access to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum. We pride ourselves on enriching the curriculum with first hand experiences, visits and visitors, using cultural capital to enhance our offer. In this way, children will gain knowledge of the world around them, grow in confidence and develop a desire to learn more about the world.

- Our school curriculum is underpinned by the National Curriculum. We plan a progressive curriculum to enable all children to make small steps in their learning. We review, revisit and recap so that children know more and remember more.
Impact
Our curriculum ensures that all children are ready for the next stage in their learning journey and make progress over time. We want our learners at Front Street to be engaged and enjoy learning, where a love of lifelong learning is instilled. We want our pupils to be articulate and to develop and demonstrate leadership qualities and to be good citizens. We support our children to achieve an age-appropriate level of knowledge and understanding across subjects and at the key milestones in a primary school.
Our Early Years (EY) Curriculum – Nursery and Reception
The focus for learning within the EYFS is based on each child as an individual and is personalised to suit the many different needs of the children. The wide variety of adult led activities and child-led play opportunities occur both indoors and outdoors. Activities are carefully planned and based on the seven areas of learning in order to provide opportunities to achieve the Early Years Framework and the Early Years Learning Goals.
