In music, we’ve been learning about how to accompany music and singing with percussion. We’ve improvised rhythms and developed and performed our ideas in groups.
Our RE ambassadors were in charge of today’s assembly. They had researched the Hindu festival of Holi, and told us all about it. They told us the story of Prahlad and Holika, and even created the background art to use throughout. We learned a lot!

We had a fun afternoon with visitors from Newcastle University. They took us on a virtual tour round the campus, and we found out about the different subjects you can study at university. We tried different fun activities relating to different university departments.
We had an AMAZING day on Ancient Greek day! After learning about the history of the different city states, we made our own clay offerings. Then we acted out Sophocles’ famous play, The Medea. Best of all, we investigated different artefacts. Some were over 2,500 years old!
