We have been learning about Islamic tile patterns, and the use of symmetry in architecture. We used a traditional blue and white palette and painted our own tile designs. Articles 29, 31
Year 5 enjoyed a workshop this week with Durham University, where we learned about Ancient Greece, how universities work and how archaeologists use artefacts to find out about the past. We also had lots of fun acting in a Greek play! Articles 29, 31

Year 4 attended a winter event alongside other cluster primary schools at Whickham school. The Young Leaders ran the session developing team games along with some Christmas fun.
In Maths, Year 4 have been exploring the perimeter of polygons using non standard and standard measures.
This term, Year 4 have been working on a food technology unit. They have designed and made a toasted sandwich after learning about seasonal produce, air miles, cost of packaging and evaluating current projects.

Our School Council visited Spoors Church this week, to decorate our entry in their Christmas Tree Festival. Nursery helped by making some amazing decorations for them to use.
