This half term the children in Year 1 are looking at where they could visit in the world. The children started their investigation by trying to name as many different countries in the world as they could. They named 27 countries! The children then used atlases to locate some of those countries.

Year 1 used maps from today and the past to locate the Quayside and other important features. Using old and modern photographs they then looked for similarities and differences between the Quayside today and in 1850.

Year 4 took part in a interactive workshop based on the oceans. The Ocean Wilders sessions in the school are funding by The Metrocentre and delivered by Climate Action North Associate, Georgina Fuller, owner of The Sea We Sea CIC

  In geography today, year 3 worked in teams to research different landmarks in Sicily and found out different facts as to why tourists may want to visit them. Over the last few weeks, we have been working hard as a year group to develop our team work skills in all aspects of school.
