Today our School Council visited the local foodbank warehouse, taking with us the staff Christmas collection and a few extras the children brought with them. Following on from Forest Bathing , we have been exploring a range of techniques and combining materials to express emotions.
We constructed diamante poems using Rights as a stimulus. Learning about Malala enabled us to explore the rights to education and sharing thoughts freely. Articles 28,13
This afternoon we were lucky enough to host a visit from Konnie Huq, tv presenter and now author. She entertained KS2 with her comic style pictures, tips for writing, science experiments and of course storytelling!
Today our Reading Champions were able to finally pin their special badge on, after waiting eagerly for them to arrive!
