Year 1

In Year 1 we have been looking at  the artist Amira Gale. The children closed their eyes and had to describe the shell they had picked. They then produced their own shell drawings using different tones.

Year 1 created their own digital paintings in the style of Mondrian.

During the summer holidays, our school RRSA mascots, Danny and Daisy, visited the war graves of Polygon Wood, Ypres in Belgium with Mrs Short and her family. They visited the grave of Mrs Short’s Grandad’s cousin who was sadly killed on the first day of the battle of Polygon Wood in September 19
