Today we have been very busy in DT starting our new topic of ‘Mechanisms’. We used our folding and cutting skills, a paper punch, and we assembled our sliders… Article 28,29

The children have loved sharing their costume ideas in class today and were fantastic at guessing the story and character quizzes!!! Fab!! Article 28,29

Today Wendy a Nurse from the QE Hospital visited us to explain what to expect if the children had to visit hospital. Wendy demonstrated the different equipment they might see in hospital and the children asked lots of questions! #Community links Article 17, 24, 28, 39

We have been learning all about materials and their properties and exploring which materials are absorbent and which are waterproof. Today our challenge was to find the most suitable material to make a waterproof hat to keep Teddy dry… Article 28, 30

Today a group of children went to Gateshead Leisure Centre to take part in the Gateshead SSP Boccia event. They showed great team work and hand eye coordination skills. Well done everyone!

We have been learning about Judaism in Y1 and today we have made our own Torah. As a class we discussed some ‘rules’ which we thought were important for us in class, in Front Street Primary School and then decided on our top 5. Article 28, 29, 30
