Nursery

Christmas has arrived in Nursery. We have heard the Christmas story and have been singing the songs from our Nativity performance. We have made ourselves a stable and have have loved using it to retell the story. We have been working in Santa’s Workshop, writing lists and cards and acting out Christ

Front Street Rotakids helped out at ‘Santa at the Hermitage’ today.  They did very well at meeting and greeting the visitors and helped out on the raffle for the Christmas hamper. Lots of familiar faces came to visit.  The Rotakids had lots of fun and did Front Street proud-well done to them all.

What a busy week we have had! Thank you to everyone who was able to come in and help the children make their own bird feeders and binoculars. Everyone really enjoyed it. We talked about what birds eat and why we feed them. Article 28 The right to a good quality education.

Barney the therapy dog came into school today. Some lucky children got to read to him, which he loves. It was great having him here today and hopefully more and more children can enjoy special time with him over the coming weeks.  

Yet again the dinner staff have wowed us with the amazing display for Children in Need 2017! (Article 1-42)

Today we really enjoyed ourselves making dens outdoors. Reception joined nursery and we pretended to have a barbecue and it all ended with the fire brigade being called!  So our Front Street fire fighters came with their yellow hoses and put out the fire.Article 31 We all have the right to play

We have been practicing our jumping skills. We jumped and then tried really hard to jump further the next time. We know how important it is to try hard and try to improve.

We went on a tour of the school. It was very interesting seeing the other classrooms. We came back and tried to draw a map of the school. Article 28

We have been talking about our experiences of fireworks. Some of us love them, some of us don’t. We have bee so busy this week and the firework fun will continue until Friday. We are doing firework milk experiments, watching the colours spread and mix. We are making playdough fireworks, painting fir
