Year 1 have been looking at the use of line in their art this term. They created their own pictures using contour lines to make them appear 3D. How amazing are their creations!

Last week the whole school took part in a Music Workshop.  The children enjoyed playing instruments and singing along to the songs.

Mr Robinson visited us from Whickham School. We enjoyed learning about how to say what we liked and didn’t like in French. We also evaluated some French music. Articles 29 and 31  

In science Year 1 have been investigating different materials and their properties. They were given the challenge of building a den that would fit Fred Frog in and be waterproof so that he didn’t get wet when it rained. The dens were amazing and all were waterproof!

Today our Year 5’s took part in their first ‘Water Safety’ session at Dunston Swimming Baths. They learnt about the dangers of open water and how to keep themselves and others safe. They also had their first session swimming in clothes!
