Year 2 tested their litter pickers today. They were able to evaluate how effective there mechanisms were at grabbing the litter. article 28    

Year 2 have designed and assembled their own litter pickers with help from Nick who made lots of holes!

Year 1 had so much fun this afternoon! They all took part in an Easter sponsored hopstacle event where they had to jump over and around various obstacles!

Year 2 had a challenge to work effectively and cooperatively in pairs to design and make an exotic bird for a dream garden. What creative young people we have! article : 28

As part of their DT topic this term the Year 1 children have been looking at which  foods make a healthy breakfast. The children tasted a variety of different fruits and yoghurt to decide which ones they would like to put in their own healthy breakfast!

In year three science, we’ve started learning about rocks. We used chocolate to make the three types of rock: sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic.

Year 1 have been looking at the Jewish religion as part of their RE. They learnt about the celebration of Purim and the story of Esther. The children made their own graggers which are noisemakers used to frighten off the wicked Haman.

Year 2 enjoyed an afternoon of football related skills at Whickham Comp. article:28

This afternoon Year 2 attended a football extravaganza at Whickham School, taking part in many football based activities. The children demonstrated excellent teamwork. It was great to see their amazing skills! Article 29 and 31
