Year 3 have continued their DT lessons by using TechCard to make a pneumatic hoist. The children worked in pairs to follow the instructions then used their knowledge of pneumatics to ensure the syringes and pipe were placed on properly.
We had so much fun celebrating World Number Day in Year 3. Costumes were fantastic and we loved seeing all of the creative outfits based on numbers. We spent the day playing maths games and working together to problem solve. Keep your eyes peeled for our brand new Number Day display board!
The children in Year 3 celebrated National Story Telling Week. The fantastic reading ambassadors visited the classes to read us a story, giving us a moment to relax and slip into our imaginations. They also launched a whole school competition to design a world of your very own.
Every year, we take part in the Spoors Church Christmas tree festival. This year, our Nursery children (helped by the Art ambassadors) made special decorations, and our RE ambassadors made some too. The RE ambassadors visited the church to decorate the tree, and were given books about the Christmas
Last week, the Year 3 children and their families took part in an art lesson all about repeated pattern and their focus artist Cath Kidston.

Year 3 have started their new DT topic, pneumatics, which is the use of compressed air to move or power something. They started by exploring some basic pneumatic systems.
