The children are getting better each week!  

Today it was our Harvest Festival and what an amazing show it was! Each year group performed a special Harvest song and year 2 reminded us all what Harvest was. Father Barry came too he has taken our food donations to places that need them most.  Ask your child what song they sang! Article 6 – the

Some of the children took part in a poetry competition in school during ‘Take One Poem’ week. It was lovely seeing them all reading poetry during their break time. Article 29

We are aiming to make our yard more active!  We’ve had some great new games painted and the year 6 buddies are running lots of games and sports over lunchtime. We are working hard for our active 30 minutes a day!

Local Poet Rowan McCabe came into school to talk to us about poetry and how he feels free when he writes and performs his poetry. He spent time in class with Years 4 and 5 and the children loved it! This year Nursery, Reception, Year 3 and Year 5 all went on a sponsored walk around Whickham to raise money for The North of England Children’s Cancer Research charity. It went really well. Thank you to everyone who came with us and helped. The Early Years children had to stop for a rest at the park
