Children from year 3 and year 4 visited Gateshead Stadium today to take part in Gateshead SSP Top Sports. They got to try out many different sports such as curling, boccia and goal ball, and had a whole lot of fun!

During half term, ten of our budding gardeners helped the volunteer group ‘Planting up Whickham’ plant winter flowers around St Mary’s Green and the shopping area. The organisers were super impressed with the children’s efforts, manners, attitudes and willingness to help. Well done everyone!

This week, the Year 3 children had a group of exciting visitors from Whickham School! The Whickham School students visited us to teach us a French lesson all about animals and a German lesson all about fruit! We had a lot of fun learning some new words and playing some games. Thank you!

This term is history, Year 3 are learning all about the Victorian Era. This week, the children were finding out what happened during Queen Victoria’s reign. They completed an ‘Each One, Teach one’ activity to teach their friends about Victorian Britain.
Ks2 really enjoyed their Gateshead Music Workshop where they learnt all about Tyneside this morning.
Year 3 have thoroughly enjoyed their first DT lesson tasting different dips using a tortilla chip. Lots of children tried a dip for the first time and were surprised at how tasty they were!
