1S absolutely LOVE their Mastery Maths sessions…today we were working with a partner using the language First, Then, Now.

Today our Art Ambassadors shared with the class one of our first tasks to prepare for the Platinum Jubilee. They talked us through a PowerPoint of ideas of designing our own piece of bunting. We had a lovely end to the week seeing our ideas come to life 😊 Article 13, 28, 29

Today it was the turn of 1S to visit the chicks. We were very quiet when we looked in the incubator…and some of us were lucky enough to see one of the eggs hatch and the little chick pop out!!!! Wow

We have been very busy this week learning about how to read an analog clock to o’clock and half past. We are very impressed with ourselves and can’t wait to show you all at home! Article 28,29

Year 1 really enjoyed their athletics session last week – we were practising our running, throwing, jumping and teamwork skills…with some time to explore the Trimtrail. Article 28,29,31

This week, in Reading club, the children created their own ‘book bands’.  It is a great way of recommending books. See if you can spot them in the library. Articles: 28, 29, 31

Today the geography ambassadors met and had a competition. We used the OS maps to race against each other to find different things on the map. We also read grid references, the older children helped the younger children with this. We finished off by finding the craziest name of a place. You will be
