The children absolutely loved their first session of TechyTots and were very excited to find out they were working with robots! Take a look at some of the robots the children learned to program and code.

Today the author Kristina Stephenson visited us. We all enjoyed it so much the children were captivated. She even signed copies of her book for the children too. What a treat – the pictures say it all.
Our Reading and Mental Health Ambassadors teamed up to to read the book ‘The Colour Monster’ to Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The children talked about different emotions and then gave each class their very own Worry Monster. Articles: 13, 28,29

Year 1 had great fun at Whickham School keeping fit. I am sure there were lots of tired children after all of the exercising!
Year one are very lucky. Each Thursday we are working with Tracey from ‘relax kids’, we work through some different exercises to help us stay calm and relax. We all enjoyed it so much.
On Friday we all made our own poppy to remember people who keep us safe. “we will remember them”.
Front Street took part in the Remembrance Parade through Whickham. Thank you to everyone who came.
