Having introduced our artist for this half term, Year 4 worked in pairs to describe a picture painted by Michelangelo whilst their partner had to attempt to draw it without looking! This required precise vocabulary and the excellent listening skills to ensure as accurate a representation as possible

As today was National Poetry day we made sure we enjoyed lots of poems and rhymes. We listened to poems in books and sang our favourite nursery rhymes. Some of us coloured in some nursery rhyme pictures too. Article 28

5H have been exploring different printing techniques. We visited the Laing and learned about Thomas Bewick. Using the art we saw in the gallery, we designed our own animals and printed them. Article 29, 28

For the last couple of months, year three have been learning songs all linked to friendship for The Big Sing 2023. The final event was at The Sage, Gateshead and WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE!
