Today, we’ve been using lots of different maths skills. We chose the best way to measure items around the classroom. Then we used our multiplication skills to find their areas. Finally, we converted our answers between metres, centimetres and millimetres.
This afternoon the whole school walked along to St. Mary’s church for our annual Christmas Carol service. We heard children read and we all sang carols. If you would like to watch the service check out the link on Front Streets Facebook page. Merry Christmas!
We were so lucky to have the Gateshead music service in this week to sing lots of Christmas songs with us! It was great fun and it got us all into the Christmas spirit.

We combined lots of skills today in maths – using equipment to measure, converting between units, then multiplying 3 x 2 digits.
We are learning to programme and code this term, starting very simply with Beebots. We are designing algorithms to draw shapes, letters and images. Along the way we will need to debug. We will work our way up to coding on the computer.
