Take a look at the tasty treats available at lunch time today.

Thank you to all the children who entered the competition. We had a some lovely entries. The winning designs will be painted onto the Reading shed in the summer term.

We had a fun afternoon with visitors from Newcastle University. They took us on a virtual tour round the campus, and we found out about the different subjects you can study at university. We tried different fun activities relating to different university departments.

5H are a creative bunch! Their World Book Day costumes were fantastic, and they’ve been full of enthusiasm for their chosen books.

As ever, our kitchen team have excelled themselves with their creativity for World Book Day lunch.

We had an afternoon learning all about University life at Newcastle Uni and the different things the children can study, clubs to join and facilities to use whilst at University.  It was fascinating to hear about all the different subjects and degrees and what all the amazing new buildings are for.

We have been using the counters and numicon to understand comparable fractions, improper and mixed number fractions. This is part of our mastery and Shanghai elements that we use in maths lessons. (Don’t tell anyone but we even got to write on the desk – one huge whiteboard!)
