Year 4

We had a great morning teaching our parents how to classify mini beasts. Article 13. You have the right to find out things and share what you think with others by talking, drawing, writing.

How do Amazon sort their products? Where do I find a wardrobe in IKEA? In Science, we are talking about familiar situations where objects have been sorted. We even used liquorice allsorts to create a classification key.

We are aiming to make our yard more active!  We’ve had some great new games painted and the year 6 buddies are running lots of games and sports over lunchtime. We are working hard for our active 30 minutes a day!

Local Poet Rowan McCabe came into school to talk to us about poetry and how he feels free when he writes and performs his poetry. He spent time in class with Years 4 and 5 and the children loved it! Today we were very lucky to have a local poet come into our class to talk to us about National Poetry day next week. We played a game, drew our favorite animals and wrote a short rap. It was lovely to have an expert in writing poetry visit us!
