Year 2

Front Street Rotakids helped out at ‘Santa at the Hermitage’ today.  They did very well at meeting and greeting the visitors and helped out on the raffle for the Christmas hamper. Lots of familiar faces came to visit.  The Rotakids had lots of fun and did Front Street proud-well done to them all.

Barney the therapy dog came into school today. Some lucky children got to read to him, which he loves. It was great having him here today and hopefully more and more children can enjoy special time with him over the coming weeks.  

Yet again the dinner staff have wowed us with the amazing display for Children in Need 2017! (Article 1-42)

Today 2m visited our local Apple Store we had great fun. We became composers and designed our own video game character to match our music! Getting a free t shirt just added to the fun!

Today in gymnastics, we learned how to perform different partner balances in a controlled way. We were great as we kept trying even when they were difficult! We were using our growth mindset! 

Auntie Jen came in this week to teach us about germs. We learned that the ‘real’ science word for germs is ‘microbes’ or ‘microorganisms’. These are year 6 words! We collected swab samples from the dirtiest places in school and rubbed them on agar jelly in petri dishes. The petri dishes
