In our Art workshop, we explored how shape and colour can be used to express emotions and record memories. We worked together to create collaborative pieces of art, and shared the stories behind them. Article 29

We have had the chance to experiment with clay this week. We needed strong little fingers at times! We squeezed, poked, squashed, rolled and sliced the clay with our hands and tools. As always we made a creative mess and learnt lots! Article 28, 29, 31
Our first art lesson was discovering the world of pointillism. Gorgeous canvases with a selection of our favourite things!
Year 2 have been introduced to classical music, Brahms, Mozart and Tchaikovsky. They listened to the music and drew the sound patterns. This linked to our music lesson all about animal sounds.
Year 3 took part in an art workshop, where we explored shape and colour and how this can be used to show emotions. We worked in groups to create big art pictures to represent a story.
Our art expert, from the Shipley Art Gallery, gave us great insight into creating ’emotion’ with line and colour. Have a look at our fabulous abstract pieces.
