In Year 5, we have been experimenting with colour. We have learned that if you mix complementary colours, you can create a muted palette. We have looked at how and why artists use muted colours. Article 29
Year 5 have been working on their dance skills in P.E. This means thinking about working as a team, and matching our movements to the music. Can you guess the style of music we are dancing to? Articles 24 and 29
On Thursday (12th July), Year 1 travelled to The Baltic to look at some amazing art work! They created their own masterpiece using a variety of different coloured paints; cutting up the painted paper to make a collage of fruit. We all had a lovely day! A huge thank you to all of our parent-helpers.

The nursery children have really enjoyed making their own artwork inspired by Kazimir Malevich. We loved looking at the different shapes and sizes in his work. We then chose the shapes we wanted in our own artwork. It was so exciting seeing them all on display in the hall. Article 28,29

What an amazing day! The children from Year Six and the choir have love taking part in this year’s Angels of the North Concert. They sang. They danced. They ate lots of pizza! And, we are all extremely proud of them! Well done everyone!
Nursery have been learning about the artwork of Jackson Pollock. We then had a go at his ‘drip style’ of painting. The cleaning up was fun too! Article 27, 28, 31
