In Art we are learning how to work in a sustained and independent way to create a detailed drawing and develop key elements  of our work including line, tone, pattern and  texture. Articles 28,29 IMG_4349

In Art, we have been looking at how to build up observational drawings and sketches. We have explored shape, line, tone and texture when drawing birds. Today we looked really closely at beaks, and tried different approaches.

Today Reception have been learning about Bonfire Night! We played the song Firework and did a ‘Just Dance’ to the song, which we all loved! We listened to a story about fireworks and how to keep safe whilst using sparklers. During the day we have used chalks outside to draw our own firework disp

In Year 5, we have learned about Lilian Bader as one of our activities linked to Black History Month. We created a piece of collaborative art celebrating her. Each of our jigsaw puzzle pieces shows a different word we would use to describe her. Which words can you spot? UNCRC Article 2

This afternoon Reception have listened to and discussed the story ‘Leaf Man’. They have then been using their fine motor skills to create their very own Autumn trees! We used cotton buds to create the leaf effects and we mixed colours to show what Autumn looks like to us, inspired by our Autumn
