What a lovely way to end a week…making 3D starfish with clay! The children found the clay quite hard to manipulate compared to play dough but they persevered and tried hard. Article 28 & 29

Today we have been learning about Linda Fenwick and looking at her stunning shell mosaics! We enjoyed using a variety of materials to create our own patterns… Article 28, 29  

In Year 5, we have been learning about the different elements of music, such as rhythm and tempo. Using online tools, we have been combining rhythms, melodies and basslines to create our own compositions. There are definitely some budding Beethovens at Front Street! Article 29

We have absolutely loved learning about space in Science. We were really interested in the idea of other universes, full of different galaxies and solar systems. So we decided to create our own planets, which orbited different stars. Here are some of our ideas…

For our calendar art this year, we tried a ‘handy’ trick to make something 2D look 3D using line and colour.

This morning year one and two were so lucky to enjoy the amazing music workshop. It got everyone well and truly into the Christmas spirit.

As part of our music lesson today we kept the pulse with the glockenspiel. As we were so good we even learnt how to play twinkle twinkle little star on them. Lots of noise for a Monday afternoon but the children made so much progress even in this short time. Maybe this instrument may be making its w
