In Reception we have been learning about Lunar New Year. We read a story called ‘The Great Race’ and learnt about why different animals are celebrated each new year. We then developed our ordinality skills by placing the animals in the order that they finished the race. We practised writing the

On Monday Reception visited Hamsterley Forest. We travelled by coach and enjoyed playing games of eye-spy on the journey- we saw lots of sheep! We enjoyed taking part in our first sports skills event at Gateshead Stadium! We represented our school by working as a team and completing various sport stations. We really liked dribbling the football and running hurdle races! Article 28, 31.

On Thursday we were lucky enough to receive a visit from a man called Kevin who works in the Laing and Shipley Art Galleries.
