Reception have enjoyed using their gross motor skills on our soft play! Article 29

During half term, ten of our budding gardeners helped the volunteer group ‘Planting up Whickham’ plant winter flowers around St Mary’s Green and the shopping area. The organisers were super impressed with the children’s efforts, manners, attitudes and willingness to help. Well done everyone!

Reception have been to the climbing wall this week. The children showed their strength and confidence when trying something new! We are very proud of them all!

We have enjoyed using the water area and sweeping up leaves this week in our outdoor area!

Look what Reception have been doing with all of the lovely autumn things that they brought in after the weekend.  They have been sorting from shortest to longest, counting conkers, sorting leaves by size/colour and creating patterns.

This week ten children from Reception went to Gateshead Leisure Centre to take part in Gateshead SSP under water theme festival!

Reception love to get outside and explore our outdoor area.  Here they are enjoying the new sand area, mud kitchen, fixing the house, practising gross motor skills and playing with our friends! Article 28

Wow what an afternoon we’ve had! We’ve had so much fun joining in with some sports activities led by young leaders at Whickham Comp. We took part in a cricket throwing activity, a relay race, took part in a parachute game, but the most fun activity of all was… dodgeball! We absolutely loved it
