Nursery

As we are coming to the end of our Jake and Tizzy work, Tizzy decided that we should make our own sandwiches.  We had to think really hard about the order that we made the sandwiches. First we had to wash our hands. Next we got the bread. After that we spread either jam or chocolate spread on it. T

We have been enjoying some Easter fun in Nursery. We have been making homes for Easter chicks, making chocolate nests, making Easter cards and colouring in Easter pictures. We made ourselves some bunny ears and even had a visit from the Easter Bunny! We loved counting all of the eggs that he left.

The children in Nursery have been trying to solve the mystery of the gingerbread crumbs found in the yard this morning. After talking to children from Reception we found out that they had baked gingerbread biscuits yesterday and one of them ran away! We started looking for clues, rang the police and

We all had such fun today taking selfies to make us laugh for Red Nose Day.  We thought about all of those people who aren’t as fortunate as us and we talked about the ‘Rights’ we have. We have the right to have a name, a h ome, drink clean water,eat food and be safe.

Our resident giant asked for a pizza so we made him one! We also made some for ourselves.

We loved celebrating the Holi festival on Monday. Instead of throwing colours at each other we thought of different ways to play with colour. We sprayed colour into the water, had our faces painted in different colours, popped paint balloons and lots more. It was lots of fun.

They children all looked amazing today in Nursery. We saw so many fantastic outfits and the children really enjoyed telling us about their favorite book characters and stories.We spent the day listening to stories and making some of our own. Today in Nursery we made and tasted porridge. Just like Goldilocks we tried the porridge in the big bowl, medium sized bowl and the small bowl. The big bowl tasted very salty. We made some porridge in Nursery today. We made the big bowl salty, the medium bowl very sweet and the small bowl was plain. We We not very keen on the salty porridge and some of us made some very interesting faces! Lots of us loved the sweet one! One child preferred the plain. We recorded it down

We have been sharing the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in nursery this week. We have been looking at big, medium and small size language. We have enjoyed role play both inside and out and we have pretended to make porridge at the playdough table and experimented with mixing in oats.
