We spent a long time designing and practising our Anglo Saxon board games so we could teach our parents during our Sharing Assembly. We spent a long time adding our Anglo Saxon art using Celtic Cross influences and knot art.

This morning, the children in year two became the teachers and taught their parents how we do maths at school: counting in tens, representing numbers, place value, understanding the bar model and Times Table Rockstars! What a busy morning we had  I   !

Reception have celebrated the end of their Super Me topic today! Everyone dresssed up as their superhero for our sharing assembly. On Tuesday Maria and Chrissy from the library came to visit Reception. They read us a story about little monkey and gave us our book start packs.  We also got our photo taken with a huge monkey! It was lots of fun. Article 17

During our parent sharing assembly, we designed  bug hotels –  habitats which would encourage a range of minibeasts to move into our school grounds. Article 29.13

Well done to everyone from Nursery who represented the school so well today when visiting The Manor House in Whickham. We played games, sang songs and even had a biscuit and drink as a little treat at the end! The residents loved our visit. Thank you to all of the helpers who were a brilliant help!
