This week we trialled something new, The “Good as New” uniform swap. It has been a great success and lots of positive comments have been made. Thank you for the donations of uniform and we will look forward to holding another “Good as New” event in the future.
Year 4 looked at the skill of Control and balancing in Gymnastics today. We were challenged to move a different part of our body when performing a balance and hold it for 5 seconds.
Everyone has been learning about Sikhism, so we invited Cloud Singh from the Gurdwara in Newcastle to visit our school. He led assembly for Key Stage 2, then spent time with Years 3, 4 and 5. Year 4 shared some their science knowledge about classifying and spider keys with their family and friends. They played the ‘yes/no’ game and then created their own spider key for Haribo’s!
Year 4 enjoyed a trip to Segedunum. We explored life as a Roman soldier, shoppping in a market, making Roman coin designs and looking at how the Romans built their houses.
