During transition to Year 5, the children have been taking part in a whole school investigation to see which liquid is best to stop cut up apples from turning brown. We worked together in groups and compared our results.
Today our amazing team of 24 children competed in this years athletics festival at Gateshead Stadium. Everyone qualified for their semi finals and ten children/relay teams then qualified for their finals! Our year 5/6 60m sprinter came away with bronze and our year 3/4 three spring jumper came away

Year 4 had a great trip to Segedunum, sharing and developing their learning.
4G carried out a strengthening experiment in DT, to observe which strategies worked best to make a structure stronger. They used strategies such as layering and ribbing. We used the same resource to test (cubes) to ensure it was a fair test.
