Tonight was the final STEM club for years 3 and 4. This time, STEM club took on the theme of ‘Curiosity’. The children guided the sessions each week by discussing what they were interested in. We’ve had a space week, a marble run week, a bones and muscles week and a digestion week.

This afternoon Front Street took two teams to Whickham School to compete in the Gateshead Basketball competition. Both teams played very well, showing great team work and determination. This term, Year 3 have been learning all about plants. In today’s science lesson, the children found out about the different parts of a flower and then were set the task to locate the parts by taking apart a daffodil.

Year 3 taught their adults all about pneumatics. They wowed everyone with their knowledge, and explained the difference between pneumatics and hydraulics.
