We enjoyed dance workshops this morning giving us a flavour of what’s to come next year.
This week we trialled something new, The “Good as New” uniform swap. It has been a great success and lots of positive comments have been made. Thank you for the donations of uniform and we will look forward to holding another “Good as New” event in the future.
Using our loan box from parliament we reacreated the House of Commons today in out big debates. 3 children were chosen at random to bring their bill to parliament to be made law. The 3 bills were – get tough on Britain’s prisons, raise the minimum wage and stop motorcyclists overtaking on roads. 2M
Today, we had our first rugby session. We loved it and learned our first three skills: – start position – touch down – running with a two handed hold
Yesterday, 20 of our year two children went to Kingmeadow school to participate in a Tri-golf tournament. They were amazing representatives of the school and our two teams ended up in gold and bronze medal positions!
Destination judo came to give us a taster session. The children loved it and are bringing home information about the session she they run locally.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit from S4A (Science 4 All) today and learned about how to clean the germs off our hands and teeth properly. We loved getting messy making our own toothpaste!
In 2S, our Class Dojo champion chose to teach a science lesson to the class with the help of her mum. What a superstar she was! #futureleader
2S enjoyed a visit to the Apple Store today and learned how to code Spheros. Did you know the Apple store run free sessions on weekends for children with lots of fun activities like the one we did today?
Today in year 2, we explored block printing with leaves. We tried to find the best ways to make the shapes and see the finer detail on the leaves. It was tricky to stay clean but we managed!
