At Front Street, our children are encouraged to develop a greater understanding and knowledge of the world, as well as their place in it. Our curriculum helps to provoke and provide answers about the natural and human aspects of the world and encourages the children to ‘think like a Geographer.’
We have enjoyed lots of fun and learning over Easter. Muddy Monsters ended with a lovely Easter egg hunt outside, huge thank you to Phil, he will be a big miss. We made Easter nests, had a bunny hop and then had another Easter egg hunt in class. Enjoy your Easter break.
A mystery egg was delivered to nursery. We researched what could be inside it. We used the internet to find out, and we looked in books. Next we made our own book about animals that come out of eggs. What a dotty day we have had in nursery! We read ‘The Dot’ by Peter H Reynolds as well as lots of other stories about spots and dots. We made our own dotty artwork and looked at famous works of art made with dots. We also made the air dotty with pom poms when we played with the Lycra. In the aft
We had a lovely morning learning all about libraries this week. The wonderful volunteers dressed up as Grandma from ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and ‘Mary Poppins’. They read us some stories and then we chose books to look at ourselves. We even got to use the library stamper. Thank you to all
Nursery have enjoyed finding out about our solar system and about rockets going to the moon. We loved the story ‘Whatever Next!’ and loved acting it out. We made our own shape rockets, made a moon table, made playdough alien and learnt a planet song. Article 28,29
