During ‘Faith Week’, we read the story of Noah’s Ark. We made our own arks and lined the animals up in twos. We enjoyed making the sound of the rain and the storm with instruments.

After reading ‘The Little Red Hen’, we decided to make our own sandwiches. We had to write an order, including our names and then go to the sandwich table. We then made sure we had washed our hands and talked about using the knife safely. We all very sensible. The sandwiches were yummy!

Today we celebrated World Book Day. We dressed up, wrote our own stories and enjoyed listening to stories. We also tried making book characters out of playdough. We had lots of fun.

Two of our boys wanted a science area in Nursery so we decided to create one. We have been looking at worms and ants and have been very busy making homes for these new pets.
We have had a lovely time making and tasting milkshakes. We recorded how many of us liked or didn’t like it. Most of us liked it. We used blueberries, strawberries and bananas. Yum!
Today someone mentioned pirates and before we knew it we were making treasure chests, maps and pirate hats! What a lovely afternoon.
We have been enjoying our ‘Farm’ topic. We have started planting vegetables. We have been playing with our farm toys and counting them into their pens. We have also been enjoying stories about the farm and growing vegetables.
After expecting a rainy, miserable day we were lucky enough to have some dry, sunny weather at Whitehouse Farm today. We saw lots of animals and had a tractor ride. It was a lovely day. A massive thank you to all of the parents who came with us. You were fantastic!
We have been so excited to come back to nursery and play in our new environment! It has been lovely seeing our friends again and talking about our holidays.
This week we have invited family members to come in and decorate eggs with their children. We have been having a lovely time.
