This year Nursery, Reception, Year 3 and Year 5 all went on a sponsored walk around Whickham to raise money for The North of England Children’s Cancer Research charity. It went really well. Thank you to everyone who came with us and helped. The Early Years children had to stop for a rest at the park
The children looked at the painting and loved spotting the different animals and the instruments. We talked about the noise and thought about parades and marches that we had seen or been to. Scarlett said, ‘I’ve seen a parade.’ Fraser said , ‘There is a parade in America.’ We watched some examples

Reception and Nursery have enjoyed playing together in our shared outdoor area. On Wednesday Reception and Nursery opened their doors so the children could work in both classrooms. The children loved exploring the other classroom and spending more time with each other and the other teachers.
We have enjoyed ourselves this week investigating coins. We did coin rubbings, sorted, cleaned and ordered coins. We found coins hidden in playdough and sand and we made money boxes. We also played in the pet shop spending our money on different animals after reading, ‘The Great Pet Sale’.
Well done to all of the children (and parents!) who took part in Sports Day. It was a lovely afternoon and the children were fantastic! Thank you to everyone who was able to come and support us
