Today we were very lucky to have a local poet come into our class to talk to us about National Poetry day next week. We played a game, drew our favorite animals and wrote a short rap. It was lovely to have an expert in writing poetry visit us!
Reception went to Chase Park for an afternoon of fun! We didn’t let the rain dampen our spirits, we enjoyed sharing our learning journeys with our parents, playing in the park and selling cakes that we had made at school this week.
Reception had lots of fun on their trip to Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens. They got to see lots of animals and even got to handle some of them! We also went on a woodland walk and played at the park. Article 28
Today the children from Nursery took part in the Whickham Waddle. The weather was beautiful and the walk around the park and Hermitage Garden was lovely. Thank you to everyone who raised money for this fantastic cause.
