Kung hei fat Choy! The year of the rooster. Our parents enjoyed watching nursery and reception share some of their busy learning and activities which they had completed this week, based around Chinese New Year.

The children loved hearing the story of Stickman. Thank you to all of the parents who were able to come in and help. We painted with sticks, made flags, stickmen, wands, decorations and had a lovely time!

Today year two went to the discovery museum. We had a great time learning about how inventions have changed our lives today! We had a SUPER time working with our parents as part of our SUPER ME DAY! We dressed up as our favourite Superhero, we made a super vegetable and sang our favourite superhero songs!

Year two made shoes today with their parents in sharing assembly. Everyone had loads of fun. We are still amazed at how many different ideas there were! Thank you to everyone who came along. 

Class 2 had a brilliant time at the library.  We listened to a story called ‘Kitchen disco’ and danced like the fruit in the book.  We even did a conga around the library!  We also had some time to look at the lovely books in the library.

Today we helped to plant some plants in our outdoor area. There is now an apple tree, a plum tree, some strawberry plants and lots of herbs. We also added plants to create a hedge next to our sensory path.

The family Learning Workshop was a HUGE success today. Thank you to all who attended. Here is a glimpse of them at work
