Year 6

Sienna is one of our Year 6 Mental Health Champions. She is so committed to raising the profile of mental health. She has made sensory bottles for the classrooms and also a suggestions box.  

Today our Year 5 & 6 team competed at County Level in the Year Five & Six indoor athletics competition. 🎖️Front Street are now ranked 4th in the whole of Tyne & Wear for indoor athletics!🌟

Today our Penathlon Team competed in the Gateshead SSP competition at Temple Park! 🥇They came an outstanding first place, gaining their place in the County Finals happening later this year. Well done to you all. Your behaviour was impeccable throughout! ⭐️

Members of our school council delivered gifts to our local B&M as part of ‘Cash for Kids Mission Christmas’. This charity aims to provide a gift for every child to wake up to on Christmas morning, helping them meet their right of article 27! A huge thank you to everybody who donated a gift!

Our ‘Book Swap’ morning was enjoyed by everyone.  

What a night we’ve had at the Vertu Arena tonight! We really have danced the night away! Our Year Six children took part the Channy Thompson Decades Concert and throughly enjoyed performing alongside her and Jamie Lee Harrison. And, they were simply outstanding. What a night! Well done to everyone

This morning, a group of our children attended the Whickham Parade. Year Six children laid our school wreath and words were read out from children from Year Five & Six. Well done to all of the Front Street children who represented their uniformed organisations too! We shall remember them. #teamf

The school council were  pleased to host a visit from our local MP for Blaydon, Liz Twist. Liz received a guided tour of the school from our councillors from year 5 & 6. She was very impressed with the confidence of the children and how proud they all were of our school. The rest of the school
