Year 4

Today we investigated different materials to see whether they would make a bulb light up. We were surprised by some of the results! We found out that some materials are conductors.

Our cooks have been busy again and what a feast they prepared! The children are so excited and the atmosphere in the hall is ‘electric’.

Over the last few weeks, year 4 have been learning lots of different art skills. One of the skills we’ve looked at involves using a fine liner pen to create tiny patterns. Today we used our absorption muscle to produce these wonderful Easter pictures. Well done year 4!

We have been looking at a lovely book over the last couple of weeks for both Art and PHSE. The book has some fantastic illustrations which we have looked at. We have learnt new drawing, shading, blending and paint skills. today was charcoal day!!

In year 4 we planned an investigation looking at different conditions we could place ice to see how quickly it melted. We kept our test fair by only changing 1 thing.  Our results surprised us!  

The gates were full of smiles and happiness this morning. The children have already settled back into school and loved the surprise balloon arch on their way into the yard. We had lovely welcomes from parents too and there have been some kind comments from the community. Gillian and her kitchen te
