Year 4

In DT this week we looked at the seasonality of fruits and vegetables. We discussed why we could still buy most fruits and vegetables all year around 🥒 🌽 🍓 🍎. article: 28

Last week Year 4 put three eggs into different liquids (Coke,Water and Vinegar). We observed the changes that had taken place over a week. Ask the children what happened. article: 28

In PSHE we discussed what qualities that are needed when working together. They ranked these qualities in the shape of a diamond. 💎 Articles: 13, 29

Ks2 really enjoyed their Gateshead Music Workshop where they learnt all about Tyneside this morning.

Year 4 set up their experiment to find out what will happen to an egg when it is placed in different liquids…look out for the results next week!  

The children took part in a French art competition. They had to research a French artist’s style of art and then replicate that style to design sport’s characters linked to the 2024 Olympics. The French ambassadors chose a winner from each year which was a very difficult job! Well done to these

Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed creating 3 different shaped shell structures and testing how strong they are. We have then discussed how to reinforce the shell structures to strengthen them to hold more books. Look at the excitement on our faces!!!

A fantastic visit to South Shields Roman Fort – Arbeia. The children excavated hidden artefacts and looked at the Roman ruins. Article: 28
