Year 3

In year 3 maths today we worked in teams to create pentagons and then explored the properties of irregular and regular pentagons.

In year 3, we proved that light travels in straight lines by lining up pieces of card with holes in. We had to get the beam of light to go through all three holes and shine on the last piece.

In year 3, we have started our new DT unit all about creating movement through pneumatics. We had such fun exploring with tubes, balloons and syringes.  

In year three, we have been exploring properties of shapes. Today, we learned what tangrams were and used them to test our ability to manipulate the shapes into various different shadow designs.
