This afternoon 14 children from Year One enjoyed carrying out different activities in the woods. We went to learn about fire making then we used our art skills to do some bark rubbing. When we went to pond dipping we learnt about different creatures that live in the water. We finished our afternoon

Today some of our year one children took part in bike ability. They had a lot of fun and some even learnt how to ride a bike using pedals!! Well done everyone!

Year One spent a lovely afternoon in The Hermitage Garden today,  looking around the gardens for letters  to create a hidden word!

Year 1 had a great time today doing PE in our lovely new hall…it’s so big the whole year group were able to do PE together!!!  We tried out the new climbing frame and also had our first Yoga lesson…

Today, Year 1 visited Beamish where we found out what it was like to go to school in Victorian times. The children had an amazing day, however, it very different to Front Street… The teachers were VERY strict and carried canes!!!

Today in year one we enjoyed a tennis afternoon in PE. We learnt how to throw and catch a tennis ball and we had mini games of tennis against our friends. What a lot of fun to end the week!!
