Year One and Reception were lucky enough to have a visit from the author Nishani Reed today and she read us her story Nabil Steals A Penguin. Nish was such good fun and really brought her story to life and she even helped the children draw Pierre the penguin.

The school council were pleased to host a visit from our local MP for Blaydon, Liz Twist. Liz received a guided tour of the school from our councillors from year 5 & 6. She was very impressed with the confidence of the children and how proud they all were of our school. The rest of the school

Today, our Mental Health Ambassadors led our class assemblies. They talked about the theme for World Mental Mental Day which was, ‘ the universal right for good mental health’. Then they shared some ‘top tips’ of how to show kindness to others – a great way to help everyone’s mental health

Year One have been learning all about our senses and this week they have been discovering how our tastebuds work. They tasted different fruits to see which ones they likes and discussed how they tasted different to some children than others… Article 28

Year one had a visit this morning from the Naughty bus….he caused such a mess in our classrooms!!! The children were not impressed with all of the chaos and quickly set about tidying up😂😂😂
