With our fine motor skills we are going to apply these with our art skills to learn how to draw self portraits during our year in Reception! Article 28 and 29
We were inspired by the story of Guru Hargobind, and how he used his cloak to rescue innocent people from prison. We designed patterns which could be used on a cloak, making our stampers from recycled items like straws and cardboard boxes.
In RE, Year 5 learned the story of Rama and Sita. We designed Diva lamps which reflected key ideas from the story. We also used our symmetry skills to create Rangoli patterns.
5H really enjoyed developing our sewing skills. We experimented with different stitches and embellishments, and learned how to join fabrics. We used our skills to make personalised cushions!
Finally our Winners enjoyed their trip to Seven Stories. They had a great day and the trip to the book shop was fun especially choosing a selection of books to bring back to school for everyone to share. Article: 31 The right to relax and play.

Our English work this week has been based around the poem Crayons and the book The day the crayons quit. Today the children acted out what they would say as Red Crayon and Duncan and used iPads to record themselves. Lots of fun! Article 28, 29
