Mr Lakey loved our bridges but set us a challenge…paper, paper punch, dowelling, handsaw…create a 3D structure…challenge accepted, enjoyed, completed!!! 😃

We have had a great morning at the Baltic looking at the amazing bridges. We drew bridges using continuous pencil line and with our eyes shut, we even made our own 3D bridges. Now back at school our bridge work continues ask you child what they have found out about bridges from around the world. &nb

We created self portraits inspired by Roy Lichtenstein, the Pop Artist, who used bold primary colours and patterns of dots to give a ‘comic book’ style to his work. Can you spot anyone you know?

In Year 5, we’ve been learning to play the glockenspiels. We’ve also been using them (and online programs) to help us compose our own music. Look out for us headlining Glastonbury in a few years! UNCRC Articles 28, 29 and 31

Today Reception started off their day by performing their sharing assembly to their grown ups. They completed a Children in Need arts and craft activity and sang the Children in Need song. This afternoon we were lucky enough to host a visit from Konnie Huq, tv presenter and now author. She entertained KS2 with her comic style pictures, tips for writing, science experiments and of course storytelling!  

Today our Reading Champions were able to finally pin their special badge on, after waiting eagerly for them to arrive!
