Oh yes she did!! What an afternoon we had, the Christmas season has begun and we are all so excited.
We have enjoyed some Halloween activities in nursery. We have made spiders using playdough, printed pumpkins, danced a pumpkin dance and much more! We used the story ‘Room on the Broom’ to help us with some counting. What a lovely week. Articles 28, 31
Year 5 have been exploring which is the best drawing tool to mark make on foil. We have experimented with line and pattern. Article 29,31
All children in school have taken part in Day To Create as part of Artsmark’s 20yr anniversary celebrations. We all thought about problems we wanted to solve and came up with our own inventions. In Re, Year 5 learned about the story of the tax collector and the pharisee, and discussed its meaning to Christians. We then used our drama skills to explore what the people in the story might have been thinking and feeling. Articles 14, 29
We have been composing our own music using the glockenspiels, and recording our ideas. Article 29
Nursery have enjoyed recalling their experiences of Bonfire Night and the fireworks. We painted, coloured, created fireworks and danced like fireworks too! Article 28,29,31
We have been creating lines and patterns by rolling conkers in paint this week. Not only was it a lot of fun but we also gave our arms a bit of a workout! Article 28
Year 2 are studying the artist Paul Cezanne this term. The children have looked at different paintings he painted, they have discussed the colours, textures and shapes that they can see.
Our last art competition of the year. Children could interpret ‘Looking to the future’ in any way they would like. Well done everyone. Winners to be chosen next week.
