Today we were so lucky to have a lesson from two Chinese teacher Yolo and Grace. They taught us how to say hello, goodbye and thank you in Manderin. We learnt about the Chinese Dragon and what it means to the people in China. Look at the details in our drawings!
Today, YoYo and Grace, visitors from China, came to work with us in our class. They taught us some Mandarin words and how to hold a pen properly! We talked about what the symbols of the Chinese dragon meant. We even traced taking real care, a Chinese dragon! Article 30

Today Reception have celebrated the royal wedding weekend by; making Union Jack flags, painting fridge magnets, decorating biscuits, colouring in royal wedding photos and making royal crowns. Reception have also watched part of Prince William and Kate’s wedding, we have learnt the National Anthem
Over the past two weeks, we have been learning all about the story of Abraham and Sarah. We also talked about what a Torah is. The children listed their own rules and then used them to make their own Torah (article 14 and 28). We have had lots of fun this afternoon making them!
As part of cultural diversity day, year 4 learnt how to paint Chinese letters using ink and a brush. They copied the alphabet carefully, then translated Chinese characters into their own names.
