Year 4 took part in a interactive workshop based on the oceans. The Ocean Wilders sessions in the school are funding by The Metrocentre and delivered by Climate Action North Associate, Georgina Fuller, owner of The Sea We Sea CIC
Year 4 experienced an all day workshop based on Prehistoric Britain delivered by Durham University Outreach team.
This week Year 4 have taken part in anti bullying week with the theme of ‘Power Of Good. ‘ We joined a live lesson with the BBC, followed by discussions and activities , while wearing odd socks!
In Geography, we are currently finding out where the best place is to live in North America. We have identified the physical landscapes , drawing them on a map and adding a key and compass directions.
Year 4 have started a new unit of work in DT. Our task is to design a toastie that appeals to children and uses seasonal produce. We started by investigating when fruit and vegetables are in season in the UK and why we import produce. We then discussed air miles and how that can affect the price of
It was a full house at our Parent Sharing Workshop where the children in Year 4 showed parents how we learn times tables in school. We then got a chance to play some of the games together. These games also help the children with their Rocket Challenges each half term.
