Nursery

The Nursery children did so well in their Graduation performance. We were very proud of them all. The next day we celebrated the end of our Nursery year with a visit to @the castle soft play. Have a lovely summer everyone.

Nursery and Reception have managed to raise an astounding £1,552.67! The Chairman from NECCR came to Front Street Nursery and we presented him with a cheque. We are so proud of the children and thankful to their supportive friends and family.

The children in Nursery and Reception went on a walk around Whickham to raise money for ‘North of England Children’s Cancer Research’ in memory of Katie, a former pupil of Front Street School. We enjoyed learning about the ‘b’ sound this week. We decided to blow our own bubbles!  

During Faith Week at school we looked at the story of Noah’s Ark. We counted animals 2 by 2 and mixed colours to make a rainbow. Then we celebrated our work with parents and carers on the Friday.  

Some of our children have been pretending to be pirates.  We have had lots of treasure maps drawn and telescopes made !

We loved making our farm animal cakes with Mrs Pinnock. We loved eating them even more!

We have been learning about animals on the farm. This week we found out about chicks and their life cycle. Reception were very kind and let us look after their chicks for a day. Thanks Reception!
