We decided that a party was in order today. We made invitations and party hats. Some of us decorated the walls with ribbons.

Nursery have loved hearing the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have listened to it independently in our listening tent. Some of us made beds for the bears in the Creative Area. We enjoyed making and tasting the porridge. Some of us practised mark making in the oat tray.

Today we went for a walk looking for signs of Autumn. We looked at leaves on the trees and leaves on the ground. There were lots of different colours to see. We found seeds and berries too. Some of us found a spider and we heard and saw some birds including a robin. As we had done so well on our fi

What do you do on a windy day? Make kites of course!!
We enjoyed printing shapes and patterns with lots of small potatoes. We looked at the round sort of shapes we made.
Planning, drawing, negotiating, measuring, sharing, lifting, building………all in a days work for our three year olds!
Someone said they wanted to put on a puppet show so we went for it! We retold some traditional tales and sang some nursery rhymes.
We have been combining oats and playdough to make our culinary masterpieces today! It’s amazing what you need to make a pancake…..oats, lollysticks, crayons, leaves and sand to represent salt. Then the whole thing was cooked on top of a tree stump. Brilliant!
Our Nursery continues to grow. It has been lovely meeting more new children and finding new friends to play with!
As well as welcoming back our friends from last year, it has been wonderful to meet some of the new members of Front Street Nursery this week.
